Doilies ??.................and no red :)

Saturday 12th February - morning
Well they said that this week's challenge on Bah! Humbug! was different..they were certainly right about that.  Not having any paper doilies in my possession I knew this was not going to be straightforward.  Yesterday lunchtime I walked into town from work, to see if I could find any doilies and was not lucky.  However mentioning the word to mum last night she immediately produced a selection - one of which is now on my table.  It is flowery rather than christmassy, so at the moment several options are being considered.
I got a parcel of goodies this morning , including a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder - I would like to be able to think of a card that uses it.

Sunday 13th February

A bit of a challenge this week - one challenge wants red used & one doesn't.
Solution = two cards :)
Here is the  first card I finished this weekend - spot the Doily :)

I used Crafter's Companion Adorables CD.  I printed out three sheets from the image page,used one as the base and & cut out elements from the other two sheets, & decoupaged the image adding the doily instead of one layer.
There is a stamp of this image, but it is not one that I have.

I would like to enter this one in the Bah! Humbug Challenge 6 - Doilies
and Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - use some red

The second card is also for the Bah! Humbug Challenge
and also for Jingle Belles - "no red, she said!"

oh my goodness Janet your use of doilies has astounded me. I can't get over the choir boy's ourfit - that is just so clever.
I also love your clever positioning of doilies on your bauble card. It looks very pretty and brings focus on the doilies.
