WOYWW - A leg on each corner.

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

I've seen these blog posts before & kept thinking that I should have a go myself.  So I have.

First though let me explain the blog title.  When I moved up here many years ago I got quite a lot of furniture from my grandma who had just moved into a nursing home.  My table was one item,  & it was a gate-leg table. I didn't find it sturdy enough to do some of my crafting on so I have been looking for the perfect replacement - a table with a leg on each corner.  People laughed at me when I said I wanted a table with a leg on each corner.

At Easter my sister & I were looking at reclining chairs for our parents when I saw a  table in the sale - it had three matching chairs & one odd one.  The odd chair was because the fourth matching chair was broken - but it is only the rail at the bottom that is loose - so I have a new table and five chairs.  It is very solidly built and has a leg on each corner. It fits perfectly in the window of the lounge,  but will open out to double the size if needed.

So these are the ongoing projects at the moment.

Welcome to WOYWW! Well done on the four legs thing, as the wife of a furniture maker, I applaud your decision and totally understand the need for four legged rigidity. Erm....you know what I mean! You're a multi project crafter..theres a lot going on at your desk, prepared treasure chests, papers for decoupage (?) and the lovely H2Os...please come back and show any progress!!

Hi Janet
Thanks for visiting me. Good to see you again.
I haven't done any Christmas cards either - with the Royal Mail price rise will we be able to afford to post them anyway?

Well, I guess if you have a round table it doesn't have a leg on each corner does it?
Welcome to the realms of WOYWW - and here am I posting Monday which just goes to show that you can carry on posting all week long if you want to.
Thanks for sharing your humour and your desk. See you around - next week?
