A last minute card for CHNC - a touch of yellow for Easter.
Waffle about the card to follow - I've just got this done with less than 20 minutes before the challenge closes.A last minute card for CHNC - a touch of yellow for Easter.
As promised................the waffle
I have been really mixed up this week. I had intended to combine the CHNC challenge with the Winter Wonderland Silhouette challenge - then I realised that I had missed that one. So after a bit of thought I decided to try and combine the ABC challenge - I is for Indigo, Ice and Inspiration. I had the card idea in my mind and started hunting for a nice shade of blue to use from my stock of coredinations card- but couldn't find a dark enough blue. So I settled on the black/white from the Black Magic collection, and embossed it with the cuttlebug snowflakes folder, then sanded it to bring out the white. The new challenges from Bah! Humbug! (Pleats & Ruffles) and Jingle Belles (no designer paper) had been set by this time - so I added pleats to the yellow ribbon & kept my fingers crossed that the kind ladies at Jingle Belles would allow coredinations card. The topper is a couple of dome stickers (again some that I have had for a while that must have been free with something else because a lot of them are not really to my taste at all) I did try to follow the sketch from Christmas Card Challenges
So I would like to enter this into the following challenges
CHNC - A touch of Easter for Christmas
Bah! Humbug! - Pleats & Ruffles
JIngle Belles - Cardstock Christmas
ABC Challenge I is for Indigo, Ice and Inspiration (There is ice on the card but not indigo :( )
Christmas Card Challenges - Sketch
Now to look through the other new challenges for this week - another short week because of Bank Holidays. I have to plant my new rose and clematis bought last weekend and fill my hanging basket too.

I look forward to coming back and seeing more about the card - it looks great - well done for joining in CHNC 17 with time to spare! (in fact I wrongly set linky to end this week at 23:00 and have left it, so you really did have time to spare - only discovered it myself a while ago) x
Cute card! Thanks for playing along with my no patterned paper challenge at Jingle Belles!

Your snowflakes are real standouts. THe yellow ribbon adds a lot of interest. Great card.
I think I see some Indigo! Isn't that Indigo (sort of) in the spotlighted frames? Either way, great job! Thanks for playing the ABC Christmas Challenge.
